A Delaware legislative committee on Tuesday permitted $4.1 million for funding the regulatory rollout of the state’s adult-use hashish business, WMDT reviews. The funding permitted by the Joint Finance Committee (JFC) will assist set up the regulatory infrastructure wanted inside the state authorities to start the adult-use hashish licensing and oversight course of.
Of the $4.1 million, $2.2 million is anticipated to be ongoing, recurring funding, with $1.9 million in one-time prices. The funding will likely be included in legislative budgets that must be adopted by lawmakers and Gov. John Carney (D). Carney is going through a September 29 deadline to call a Marijuana Management Fee and rules for adult-use hashish licensing are due by July 1, 2024.
